Coming straight from the history books, this P44 jacket from Buzz Rickson’s is a faithful interpretation of the military icon. Based on a jacket which was introduced in the Second World War, the P44 was standard issue for the United States Marine Corps in the 40’s. It has been constructed from 100% herringbone twill cotton which is as hard wearing as it is comfortable, and ages beautifully over time.
Custom stamped donut buttons adorn the front plate and conceal the two built in pockets on the front of the jacket. A third patch pocket is featured on the left breast for functionality, and has been stencilled with the USMC badge of authenticity, while the front closure offers a buttoned wind flap to protect from the elements. The cuffs feature buttons to tighten for convenience and the collar has two additional metallic buttons for further attachments.
