Quality In Every Detail
To ensure that you are equipped for any adventure that you might throw yourself into, the good people at Freewheelers have painstakingly trawled through the sartorial history books to find the garments that will stand the test of time. The winter flying jacket is based on the B-11 coat. This one in particular is a 1940’s civilian military style jacket with which Freewheelers have a achieved luxurious comfort and warmth by blending an outer layer of paraffin coated jungle cloth with a lining of beautiful Alpaca fur. There is a layer of heavy flannel which provides precious insulation throughout this coat. Two slip side pockets are joined by two hand warming pockets on the breast for extra security and protection from the cold. Sleeve buckles and shoulder eppaulettes provide subtle nuances of military detail, and a button down throat plate allows the hood to stay in place when up, protecting the neck from harsh winds. A Waldes zipper provides reinforcement for the center buttons, and a waxed cord allows for the waist and hood to be rouched in. All in all, this flying jacket is a perfect example of the results which can be achieved through pairing fantastic materials with timeless design.
