The M-1938 Field Jacket from Freewheelers & Co takes its inspiration from a design which would have been worn by the troops of the U.S. Army during the Second World War. Featuring a boxy fit, the outer of this jacket has been cut from a soft cotton which has been sulphur dyed to have the perfect vintage feel. The lining comes in the form of a brushed cotton flannel for comfort, and the brand have added a pleated back and shoulder seam for brilliant freedom of movement.
Deep brown Urea buttons have been used throughout, on the front fastening and the side entry slash pockets, while a gold ‘Waldes’ zipper has been used for the main closure. This piece falls under the ‘Union Special Overalls’ sub-label from Freewheelers, and is a brilliant example of what this company can do.
