Freewheelers & Co
1940's Type N-1 Deck Jacket - Dark Khaki/Beige
+2 Colours
With roots as far back as the 1930’s, Freewheelers have dug deep into their archives to bring us a brilliantly crafted flight jacket. Cut from a 100% cotton ‘jungle cloth’ fabric, which has been coated with a light paraffin treatment for protection, this short cut, boxy piece was originally a trial piece for civilian wear. An original 'Whizzer' brand locking zip has been used for authenticity.
A full alpaca pile lining has been added for superb heating qualities, while a mouton collar has been included for comfort, and can be easily secured with a buttoned chin strap. A single buttoned outer pocket has been added for storage, and waist epaulettes have been featured to effortlessly cinch in the shape of the waist.
If that wasn't enough, a thin layer of flannel has been sandwiched between the shell and lining to provide even further insulation; also lining the pockets with the same material.
