Field Notes

Named after the iconic wartime commander Field Marshal Montgomery, the Gloverall 'Monty' Duffle is one of Britain's most iconic designs. A faithful reproduction of a world war II icon, this iteration is considered one of the finest. Made from a wool blend the coat is incredibly insulating with wind protective elements throughout, including: large hood with chinstrap, adjustable wrist tabs and on the inside of the jacket, you will find straps that were originally used to fasten the coat to the thighs, to prevent the jacket from flapping around in the wind. The toggles are wooden for that classic heritage touch and the jute rope fastenings add some needed texture.
