ONI are known as a brand who swim against the tide, and with the release of their 122ZR-S model, we can see that it is business as usual. The 122ZR with stretch has become a top seller with a slim tapered fit with a fabric that relaxes very easily ensuring a better and more comfortable fit as you age them. This 5-pocket jean is unlike other ONI’s however as it contains 2% elastane. Shocking isn’t it? Selvedge with elastane! But this time it is done with typical ONI class. The iconic ‘secret denim’ is paired with the elastane to make a ‘secret stretch’ 20oz fabric. The denim is spun at a very low tension and so all of that characteristic slubbiness that the brand is known for is still there. The weft yarns are dyed beige and creep out through the surface of the fabric to create a unique heritage feel. The elastane really adds an extra layer of comfort to this heavyweight denim, and doesn’t take away any of the fading potential. As always, universal copper rivets, heavy duty bar tacks, raised belt loops and durable canvas pocket bags help this model to be as solid as it can be. The deer skin leather patch adorns the back of the jean and features the company’s mysterious demonic mascot. The denim has been pre rinsed to add softness ad remove any excess shrinkage. How to Wash
Step 1

When you’re ready to wash your jeans, button the fly and turn them inside out. Doing up the fly ensures the jeans maintain their shape, and turning them inside out avoids unwanted marks from the washing machine drum on the indigo.

Step 2

Place the jeans in your washing machine with neutral detergent, and set them on a non/low-spin wash at cold–20 degrees for raw, or up to 30 degrees for pre-washed. High spin may cause unwanted 'lightning fades', and washing too hot can cause excess shrinkage, so it’s important to follow these steps carefully!

Step 3

Once your jeans are done washing, hang them somewhere safe and allow them to air dry. Putting your jeans in a tumble dryer has a high chance of degrading the fabric and misshaping your jeans. Make sure wherever you hang them has proper drainage, as you’ll be expecting some indigo runoff.
