Field Notes

The new Denim Chore Jacket from FULLCOUNT draws its influence from WWII era American workwear, and proudly displays paired down detailing which harks back to a time of rationing and political unrest. This boxy fit chore jacket is cut from a 100% cotton military tent cloth which has been meticulously hand faded resulting in an already textured and vintage feeling to the fabric. This simple chore design forgoes the typical third patch pocket, reflective of the fabric rationing in the WWII era, as are the buttons down the placket which we have 4 instead of 5. An easy fit on this jacket, it's perfect for layering in the colder months and wearing as a light layer in the warmer ones.

Essential heritage denim

A key member of the Osaka Five, FULLCOUNT is founder Mikiharu Tsujita’s vision of what the perfect denim brand should be. Using Zimbabwe cotton, vintage machinery, and a keen eye for detail, the brand has arguably become the leader of Japanese selvedge denim production. Straying slightly from direct reproduction, FULLCOUNT’s pieces — which include jeans, jackets, sweats, tees, and more — are fine tuned to fit seamlessly into modern wardrobes while retaining the quality and hardiness that Japanese manufacturing has become so renowned for.
