2025 Fashion Forecast

With 2025 underway it’s hard not to think about the year ahead. Where will I be? What will I be doing? But most importantly, what will I be wearing? We’re heading towards a more defined but intentional style with focus on the details. Here is our list of new year style forecasts.

Shades of Suede
With the rise of vintage, it’s of no surprise that suede is as popular as ever. Made from the underside of animal skin, it's breathability and softness make it a desirable alternative to traditional leather. Its typical golden shade makes it a fun colour to pair, looking best against indigos and maroons. A suede jacket makes any outfit look most dressed up without sacrificing comfort and a suede shoe is a classic match against a pair of indigo denim.

Wild West
Following from the suede, a style that we never tire of is Western. The cowboy aesthetic can be as simple as a western style pocket, buckle, blue jeans or as loud as double denim, fringed suede, and chaps. The charm is in the details and who doesn’t want to be a cowboy? A true timeless classic with many different nuances, it can be effortlessly integrated into your everyday look.

Hooked on Deck Jackets
The rise in popularity of hooked deck jackets are the result of a growing relationship between fashion and utility. With an asymmetrical fastening, this heritage piece has a contemporary attitude, separating it from its peers. A US Navy design to replace zippers which would rust from saltwater, the clasps add an attractive twist to the deck jacket and any outfit. We’ve noticed that fans of workwear are naturally moving towards deck jackets for a more elevated look. Asymmetry can be utilised to prevent an outfit looking too polished, giving the eye an unexpected line to follow.

Accessorise Your Life
Accessorising is the fun part of any outfit, and what’s more fun than attaching a bunch to your bag giving it a personal flair? We’re seeing people make their bags more personal, i.e., Jane Birkin’s Birkin, letting the messiness of their lives pour from its seams. There are no rules, you can attach keyrings, scarves, hats, ties. If you can attach it, it’s all fair game. A messy bag adds an authentic contrast to a clean outfit.

Indigo? Here We Go!
Whilst we will always have a soft spot for the Dartford wash, there’s something irresistible about Indigo. Whether its raw or ‘one wash’, the deep blue denim will always lure us back in. One of the oldest dyestuffs still used today, a trusted pair of indigo denim is a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. Whether you prefer the cleaner silhouette of a traditional 50s / 60s reproduction or a wider leg for a more relaxed modern look, you can find a pair that feels unique to you and your style.

Soft Tailoring
Soft tailoring is a broad term meaning any variation of tailoring that isn’t so rigid. Think unlined blazers, elasticated suit trousers, work shirts, and sportswear contrasts. Wearing a blazer with sweatpants or a pair of denim can make an outfit more stylised and interesting. Jeff Bridges is a seasoned adopter of this look, often pairing a blazer and shirt with a light wash jean or an eccentric cardigan with a t-shirt and chinos. The vibrancy of this bold contrast cannot be understated and gives the wearer an effortless cool.

Hiking Boot Revival
With modern life having us run from one place to another it’s important to have the right footwear. The resurgence of the hiking boot has the rise of tech-wear to thank. People are after footwear that is practical and integrates naturally into their wardrobe. A heritage styled hiking boot takes technical ingenuity and recontextualises it with a vintage twist. A smarter alternative to the trainer.

Earn Your Stripes
Stripes. What’s not to love? A pattern that has a place from hat to mismatched sock, everyone owns something striped. From pinstriped denim to a colourful knit or basic tee, stripes can be easily integrated to add an uncompromising flavour to any design. A striped pattern allows for a fun and effortless way to play with colour and gives you a focus point to begin your outfit. Whether it be a bold combination of colour or a simpler black and white, you can’t resist the allure of the humble, yet mighty stripe.
