Rocky Mountain Featherbed was first founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (known as “the cowboy state”) in the late 1960’s. An iconic brand known for creating down vests for cowboys, their signature was a seamless single-piece leather yoke. The idea of the yoke came from the leather capes that Native Americans were wearing. The brand became famous for its cold-proof and heat-retaining features, but unfortunately disappeared in the 1980’s. Given new life in 2005 and now produced in Japan, the brand maintains their signature look whilst incorporating hard wearing and functional details into the modern day promoting timeless style.
