Not ones to shy away from an intricate design, Beams Plus present their Fair Isle Jumper. The intricate design is made from 100% wool created using a jacquard knit for an expressive flow of colour. The Fair Isle knit originated in the late 18th century on the Shetland island of Fair Isle, where it was originally worn by fisherman for warmth, the design had a resurgence after Menswear icon Edward, the Prince of Wales (A.K.A The Duke Of Windsor), wore a Fair Isle Waistcoat in 1921, implementing the design into the wider fashion conscious.
