This 601xx 1947 from Freewheelers & Co’s sub label ‘The Vanishing West’ is a brilliant vintage inspired jean with a lot of character. This jean has a mid rise which sits comfortably on the waist and goes straight down from the thigh, offering a great vintage silhouette.
Punched copper rivets, a reinforced button fly, heavy duty bar tacks and canvas pocket bags all help this jean to be as durable as possible, whilst the brand have used only vintage machines when constructing their jeans. The raw, 14oz denim has been brilliantly woven to produce an incredibly smooth finish, much like the American denim from the mid-20th Century. Concealed copper rivets on the rear pockets add a pinch more heritage authenticity, and a leather patch sits on the waistband with the brand’s denim tradition artwork. Freewheelers have once again surpassed expectation with this 1947 model, and have brought us a must have jean for any denim lover. This denim will shrink up to eight percent in the wash.
