The 1100-EX17 from Full Count takes a look through the history books and borrows details from early 1940’s era denim. The jean boasts many details that denim enthusiasts have come to associate with WWII denim manufacturing, a time of rationing, necessity and resourcefulness. For this model, Full Count have taken their iconic 13.7oz Zimbabwean denim and applied it to a straight fit with a comfortable mid rise.
10oz chambray pocket bags have been added to this jean, a feature common to the era when luxury gave way to availability, and any material hanging around would do. In a similar vain, a single colour rusty gold thread has been used throughout and the peek-a-boo selvedge watch pocket goes un-rivited. The fly construction is made up of four simple donut buttons and one laurel wreath button on the waistband. The riveted back pockets bear painted on arches, a feature which would have been implemented to save on thread production. The leather patch has still been featured, but has been detailed with military style WWII lettering.
Limited to only 500 pairs, this jean is sure to become a real collectors item, and is a fantastic interpretation of an iconic piece of denim history.
