Woven using cotton yarn spun on a remarkably rare Japanese spinning machine from the early 1950’s, this incredible new denim takes its name from the contraption which gave it life; the Ishikawadai. Producing yarn at a frustratingly slow rate by modern standards, this machine produces a unique feel which protects the integrity of the cotton, giving the fabric a natural, hand-spun appearance.
Weighing in at 15 ounces, this stretch variant of ONI's popular denim consists of 98% cotton/ 2% polyurethane, and is neither too heavy, nor too light, making it the perfect option for all year round wear. The 121 cut is a slim tapered offering, which boasts a modern silhouette, and a comfortable mid rise for freedom of movement. Traditional, rugged denim detailing includes punch through copper rivets throughout, concealed back pocket rivets, custom manufactured donut buttons, raised belt loops, heavy duty pocket bags, and a veg-tanned leather brand patch on the back!
