Made using cotton yarn spun on a remarkably rare Japanese spinning machine from the early 1950’s, this incredible denim takes its name from the contraption which gave it life; the Ishikawadai. Producing yarn at a frustratingly slow rate by modern standards, this machine produces a unique feel which protects the integrity of the cotton, giving the fabric a natural, hand-spun appearance.
