Field Notes

FULLCOUNT's Star Wabash Chore Jacket is a showcase of their technical prowess. The fabric is an indigo dyed 'Katsuragi' twill, a durable yet supple fabric known to soften beautifully over time. Featured on this jacket is a pre-faded reproduction of a rare star print Stifel cloth from the early 20th century. The A-line silhouette is reminiscent of styles from the early 1900s as well as the irregular shaped pockets. This chore is short in length and features 'headlight' inspired original change buttons, commonly seen in the '30s and before.

Essential heritage denim

A key member of the Osaka Five, FULLCOUNT is founder Mikiharu Tsujita’s vision of what the perfect denim brand should be. Using Zimbabwe cotton, vintage machinery, and a keen eye for detail, the brand has arguably become the leader of Japanese selvedge denim production. Straying slightly from direct reproduction, FULLCOUNT’s pieces — which include jeans, jackets, sweats, tees, and more — are fine tuned to fit seamlessly into modern wardrobes while retaining the quality and hardiness that Japanese manufacturing has become so renowned for.
