If there's one thing Double RL do well it's their faded denim. Their Milner Selvedge Jean is constructed in America with Ridgeway twill, their bespoke left-hand twill denim, a selvedge fabric that has been shuttle-woven in Japan. The denim has a turquoise cast inspired by 1950s American faded denim, sure to wash out even more beautifully over time. Already with some generous pre-fades throughout (meticulously achieved through their 50 step process), this is a pair of jeans made to last.

How to Wash
Step 1

When you’re ready to wash your jeans, button the fly and turn them inside out. Doing up the fly ensures the jeans maintain their shape, and turning them inside out avoids unwanted marks from the washing machine drum on the indigo.

Step 2

Place the jeans in your washing machine with neutral detergent, and set them on a non/low-spin wash at cold–20 degrees for raw, or up to 30 degrees for pre-washed. High spin may cause unwanted 'lightning fades', and washing too hot can cause excess shrinkage, so it’s important to follow these steps carefully!

Step 3

Once your jeans are done washing, hang them somewhere safe and allow them to air dry. Putting your jeans in a tumble dryer has a high chance of degrading the fabric and misshaping your jeans. Make sure wherever you hang them has proper drainage, as you’ll be expecting some indigo runoff.
